Possible Broken Breastbone???

One of our older hens appears to have a broken bone in her chest. She is the smallest of all our hens, and I think the rooster may have injured her during mating. She moves very slowly...her wings seem ok, she still eats and drinks and has been this way for 2 days. I have her isolated and she can stand, but lays down in a funny position at night. But I can feel something protruding from her breast, which I'm assuming is a bone. Any advice?

Boy that's a tuffy. I think I would definately keep her up and away from any roo. Only time will tell and heal that kind of injury. As long as she continues to eat and drink for you, I would keep her seperated. Good luck.
