Hi everyone! I got home from class and noticed a soft broken shell and yolk in my duck’s bedding. Should I be concerned there is any still inside of her? Or could it possibly be just a soft shell that she broke after laying? Thank you for any help!

Yes. A couple days after she started laying I went and got layer feed and the crushed oysters. I mix in the oyster shells with her feed
You will want to switch to the oyster shells on the side. They can potentially get too much calcium when it is in the feed. I understand if you are trying to get them to start eating the oyster shells. I have a Pekin who still refuses to eat her oyster shells.

Okay thank you!! I will definitely start putting them to the side. Thanks for the tip :)
