Our EE has bumblefoot on both feet too. Treated on Friday morning. She is doing great! It wasn't a horrible bad infection, but we soaked her feet in pretty warm water with epsom salt and baking soda for about 5 minutes. Then wrapped her in a towel and laid her on her back. Used iodine to clean each foot before we "operated". Then used a surgical scalpel and cut a circle (not deep at first) around the scab until we were able to pull the whole thing off. Then we made sure we didn't see any more infection inside. Irrigated with saline. Dried really well. And then put a lot of neosporin (NOT THE KIND WITH ADDED PAIN RELIEF) on each foot and wrapped it in a nonadhesive bandage and then self adhesive bandaging, not too tight.
I'll link what I've been posting on here. I got great advise and posted some pictures of the bumblefoot and the bandaging. Also watched a couple youtube videos before I "operated" to get a good idea of what to expect.
MY EEs wounds are healing great and she is walking fine. Hope the same for yours.
