So I have 2 silkie olive egger mixes. Up until now I thought they were both girls, but now I'm having doubts. They are 6 weeks old. I'm usually pretty good at spotting the boys at a young age, but these 2 r not as obvious.

AgreedThey look to be cockerels
That's what I'm a afraid of. We already have 3 definate cockerels already. Will be so sad if they're boys. Then we will have five boys out of 8 chicks. We are going to have a hard time on deciding who goes, they are all so beautiful. We can't keep more than 2Two cockerels
They are adorable! I am glad that you got to keep them!Just wanted to update this thread and confirm, they turned out to be roosters and are gorgeous! We've decided to keep them. View attachment 2854856View attachment 2854857View attachment 2854858View attachment 2854860

Thanks! We have 18 hens, but about 58 pullets, so we will have enough! They will be in 2 separate coops. We plan to keep 4 roos in total 2 roos in one coop and 2 in the other. And split the girls amongst them. They free range as long as there's no snow. For the winter they have built in runs, so they have space. We've had 3 roos live under the same roof peacefully in the pastSo pretty! Are you keeping them separate in a bachelor pad or do you have a lot of girls for them?
