Hi! So for a while I’ve been noticing one of our so called hens has been developing her comb and wattles much quicker than the rest. I ordered 10 hens from the hatchery, got 11 by mistake, two died in a raccoon attack, so I only have 9 chickens left, soon to be 8 because of the accidental rooster we got. We are giving him away. But anyways back to the early developing hen, might she be a rooster? My confirmed rooster is already crowing and has down his first mating dance already, but I’ve seen the other chicken do none of these things. And if they were both roosters wouldn’t they have some kind of beef with each other and show off against each other? That hasn’t happened either. They actually seem to be good friends! They are all almost 17 weeks old, with them being 16 and 5 days right now. I’ll post some pictures below of both birds. Thanks for any replies I get!
