I recently picked up 6 free chicks from a lady who got them for use in photography. She apparently did not take too good a care of them because when I got them home all of them needed their butts washed and poop scraped off their feet. Each toe was a ball of poop. Since brought them home two have unexpectantly passed and now one is putting its head in the air and acting like it is gasping for air. It has also become a pecking stone for the others. I have cleaned and dressed its wounds and now while looking it over, I see it has what looks like a, for lack of a better term, bubble under its skin in its neck. I can see what looks like food in it. It is see through, very gross looking. I have never seen anything like this before and don't know what to do. I looked up impacted crop but nothing says anything about being able to see through the skin. Is there any thing I can do to help him/her out? Advice needed soon!! Thank you in advance!!
