Hello, I've got ringnecks pheasants and silkies in the same coop. A couple months ago, some of the silkies eggs hatched. But the offspring doesn't look like normal silkies to me. Does anybody perhaps now if they are crossbreed between the silkies and ringnecks? I suspect they are crossbreed because the missing of a comb, the pattern of the feathers that is simular to the one from the ringnecks and because the 5th toe isn't fully developed. Thanks in advance!

While it is possible for a pheasant and chicken to cross that chicken is not a hybrid. It isn't very common and most chicks end up dying before hatch, if they do hatch most don't live long. Your chicken has silkie feathers, that trait is recessive and needs two copies to show. One from the mother and one from the father. How old is it? Silkies are slow to mature, that is probably why it doesn't have comb development yet.
