Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Today will be better!!
I'm going to shop Monday. Have my list all ready. My daughter is highly allergic to wheat and milk so we do a dairy free/gluten free thanksgiving. I don't make anything she can't have. I don't want to have to say, you can't have this and this and ..........
thats awesome starkasm, my son has crohn's and unfortunatly i dont do that. but he is autistic so he allready has a weird diet and i dont think he cares. he has allways ate in his room. very sad.

My daughter is gluten free and I'm dairy free since the nursing baby spits up so much when I have any. Thanksgiving is at my in-laws so I already know I need to bring all the side dishes my daughter and I will eat. :-/

We're day 2 of our first incubation experience. We set 22 quail eggs!

Its late spring early summer here granny.so it was a hot, hot weekend, summer will be Awesome.

I have a menagerie of small pets. The kiddlets think they're theirs, but they all know mums the zoo keeper ;)
Actually I adore the guinea pigs. We have 3, one from another mum who turned up with it in a box as her child wasnt interested.
I call them the Three Amigos. They're my little gang of clowns.

The agapanthas are a south african plant about thigh high with blue or white flower heads ..theyre like fat grassy tussock/pampas shapes. Cant add links via tablet, need pc, or lessons...lol... the piggies love to escape and make hideouts..cheeky cute little faces..

My quail babies are starting to get feathers on their heads..tough being a teenage bird..not attractive .... they sound so neat though, reminds me if my Nana playing mahjong, she said the bamboo pieces clicking together was called the twittering of the birds. Which is nothing like they sound but a happy thought.

More eggs set ghislainedel..how exciting!
Cheyen you still feeling good?

Special diets are so tricky when you visit people, at least now you can get gluten and dairy free products that taste nice.

Happy thanksgiving my north American friends :hugs

Im thankful for your friendship

It does make it rough going to other's houses. My Mother in Law used to make separate side dishes for her. Take out a portion of potatoes etc before mashing and adding milk and butter. It takes a while for people to get used to and it's more the not knowing that I think causes the stress. My mother in law would get so disappointed (almost mad at me) when she'd buy her something and I'd say, she can't have that. She kinda takes it in stride now.

Good luck on the quail hatch and let us know how it's going!!! I have some just over a month old and some a couple weeks old. Little cuties!
If you have any questions just yell :)

ok, we are all going to keepmumsane house for thanksgiving! its warm there and i know she can cook! i too am thankful for my byc friends! at least we are all the same kind of nuts!

unlike my family who thinks its only me.hahahh i would like to get my hands on some different flowers anyway. like the colors of my chickens , i want a flower of each color. i have allready planted over 600 trees.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying to candle them at the end of the week to see how we're doing. I got an LED penlight that seems to work Ok.

My MIL was a teacher so she's used to kids with allergies. My mom doesn't really believe in them because they didn't exist "in her day" but she is tolerant of the food restrictions. At least she's a from scratch cook so you can be sure of the ingredients!

The pigglies hear my car keys jingle and come rushing over squeaking, cuoboard love is so cute. Mikes goldfish get excited when he gets home from work..they used to jump out occassionally..crazy fools..I threw my whole bowl of peanuts across the room in my haste to save him one time! Dog thought it was her lucky day
Hey if my quail babies are mostly white now will they stay that way..?

Sorry for the delay with the pictures, guys! Just think of them as being fashionably late.

Pip is the one near the hay manger. These guys are sure lucky I have rabbits that were willing to spare their cage for some outside time, lol.
You can really see how big they're getting. They're about big enough for their leg bands!

Pip being a cute little model.

She was surprisingly calm during the photo shoot. I think she's still grumpy about being grounded for almost burning the house down.

They all went so crazy for the camera.
