Man I take a couple days off to watch Olympics and things go to poo around here. Looking forward to seeing pics of the silver laced Wyandotte there Cheyen I plan on ordering between 10 and 15 latter this spring. Warmed up here today and now snow supposed to be in low to mid 40 by this weekend. My hen's seem to be on strike 15 to 20 eggs a day out of between 60 and 70 hens don't cut it may be more then just extra roo's getting the chop in a month or so. Sorry to hear about all you sickness issues there granny!!! Also that blue eye's is changing color.
Question for you eggsperts what causes FLAT eggs. Keep getting eggs with a flat spot which is sort of nice as the eggs don't roll off the counter and on to the floor but seems weird to me. The shells are plenty thick and I know the hens are getting plenty of protein and oyster shells. Also have light on for at least 12 - 14 hours a day.
Checked into getting internet for the entire motel here and they want $1,000.oo per month told them to get stuffed!!!! Also informed them that if they didn't fix the problem with me being dumped off the net an average of 10 times a day I would switch companies. They claim it is my router but since my x-box is cabled in to the back of the moduem I don't think it is my router. They want $800.00 for one of those. Or I can have them come and take a look for 80.00 per hour for the man and a charge of 20.00 for the vehicle that he would drive over here. Told them for 20.00 I would come and pick him up. Talk about oil boom prices around here.
did you contact them again cheyan ?? what about the chukars? what a crock! just got back from town. OMG everyone that lives around here was at wal-mart. what a mess. the weatherman has been conspiring with the stores again. they whisper in their ear, tell everyone a big snow is coming and they will rush our store and we can send you a kick back.
Scott, your flat sided eggs can be caused from a few things. perhaps one will ring a bell. bronchitis, stress, crowding, sudden increase in light. or perhaps the egg just took longer to make its way down because they are a bit old. it is more common in young pullets just starting to lay and havent got the kinks worked out yet. btw, my sons router was 80 dollars and he was told that is the most common reason for the problems you are having.
I contacted the seller again, haven't heard back yet. I know it's not the weather, because my aunt is still getting packages in the mail. I did get a tracking number, but it stills says it's in transit!
