Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

eggies chickies birdies!

So one of my quail has poop shoes... balls of poo stuck to the ends of the toes... I tried getting her to stand in some warm water... no difference. Tried warm soapy water... still no difference. It's really stuck!

Any suggestions? Oil perhaps?

I would try vinegar. And if plain vinegar doesn't work, sprinkle with baking soda and apply vinegar. Itss how i get tough rabbit poop off stuff it's stuck to. Be warned it as going to fizz but does not hurt or burn unless there is an open wound, if there's an open wound you will be able to tell from the plain vinegar soak. If she handles the plain vinegar well, the baking soda and vinegar won't hurt her.

And it won't be to much longer before granny and I are back in diapers.
LOL !!! speak for yourself ol man . actually i probably could of used one today while i was shopping. have you ever gone down an isle and smelled that dead skunk omg barf smell? ya, that was me.

you gotta get the rock out??

The vinegar and baking soda was for the quail wearing poop shoes. I tried to get the stone out. Nothing came of it, but she did take two huge poops so I'm hoping it wasn't really a stone at all and she just needed a little bit of lubrication to break up a hard mass. Please pray for my Cheeky. She's my favorite one!

aw, i just commented on the wrong thread. although vinegar and baking soda might do the trick !! lol blow that rock right outa there.

No, granny. No top-hatters. Those come in a few days. Turns out my mom is getting chick crazy. She ordered an assortment of expensive breeds. More "leftovers", lol. One of the babies is a polish, though. A cute little buff laced. All hens. Now I wish we had a male polish!
