Actually yes. Last year was a bad year for lyme disease from ticks. If there is a red bulls eye around the bite. You may need to go see a doc. I got it last year from a tic in TN when I was there visiting my parents. Im not trying to worry you just letting you know. My bite area started out with a blister and then a red bulls eye. I still have a hole where that tic bit me.
I sure do enjoy reading this thread, there is always something going on.
I just hatched 9 out of 12 of my own quail eggs in my home made incubator. The last three fully developed, they just didn't hatch. one was in the egg backwards. weird.

If you have a confirmed tick bite and are having muscle aches, fever you should see a doctor "just in case". The bullseye rash is not 100% of the time going to happen when infected with lyme. Rocky mountain spotted fever has no such rash.

We have to watch out for granny. I like reading her posts. Wd need to keep around so her pists can brighten our day. Tic bites can be dangerous these days. It wasnt like that when i was a kid. A lot has changed. Im almost as old as granny anyway. Lol

i dont have fever or rash !! just a bunch of sore muscles, every where. yesterday was the 2nd tick that got pulled out of my back. guineas are NOT doing their job! funny but not funny, my daughter called me last night and said the dr. had been trying to get a hold of her for 3 days and she tested positive for rocky mt. spotted fever ! no rash or fever ! first dr. said she had new-moan -ya (spell check wont even recognize).lol maybe i am having sympathy pains? and SAMSR, if it wasnt like that when you were a kid, you are older then me!!!

we just didnt know about it. they called it the fever. "shes got the fever" .lol

This guy goes into the local feed store and buys 10 baby chicks.
A weeks later he goes in and buys 10 more
Same the following week.
This goes on for about 6 weeks
Finally the store owner says, "you must have quite the flock going by now".
The guy looks all sad and says, "no, actually they keep dying on me". .....
"Thing is, I can't figure out if I'm planting them too deep or too close together.."

Blame my mother....got that from her!

Oh and I have pipped chukars and RG pheasants! One pheasant hatched out during the night!
