I totally agree and should I find miss right the rules will probably go out the window. But I am also not actively looking. Between the motel & farm not a lot of free time.

We sort of got nailed a few years back. We had just bought these ponies and a couple of pit bulls got in the corral and were trying their best to kill one. My sister got there and drove them off (this was on a rainy Sunday afternoon). She or my Mom called the cops, who told them to call Animal Control. I did NOT want Animal Control involved, but I was kind of sick and trying to rest in bed so as not to miss work the next day, so didn`t get to weigh in. A woman had called the cops that she`d found a dog by the street that was bleeding. Duh, it was the pony`s blood. The cop put 2 and 2 together and the AC guy brought the dog here for my sister to identify. So he saw my chicken pen, and to show off for the cops told us we had 10 days to get rid of them. We sent them to a friend for a few weeks, and I sweated bullets for a long time that they`d come back unannounced and take them. With all the crap going on in Philly (Animal Cops did a season here, although I`ve never seen it) and no complaints from the neighbors (who have said they like to hear the roosters because it makes them feel like they`re in the country), I guess they forgot about us or didn`t have time to come back. But I`m still very nervous. I love this place because I saw the thread on the socks for the roos` necks. Haven`t got around to trying them yet but want to. Only have 3 roos now but when they all get going. . . Every school day there are some kids that crow at them on their way home and get them going.

that really sucks you have to hide and feel nervous like that. have you checked into changing the law? might be a group out there allready working on it. and i watched it. wasnt as bad as detroits.lol i lived there for 25 yrs. and my neighbor/ brother in law kept chickens but not to fight. i went to that humane society a few times. they were ripoffs

can't you get grandfathered in with your chickens since you had them before the rules changed??? Suppose you should maybe have a friend check up on that so they can't trace the inquiry back to you. Just to be on the safe side

Gonna have to check or have my rented on the farm check on the pitched over the fence roos tomorrow. He threw together a makeshift tent out of canvas that's out of the wind. They can also go down to the barn and get out of the wind but no real head sources for them. This type of weather isn't suppose to come until Jan.
