Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Oh yeah, got over 300 signatures (from my neighbors) on a petition, went to City Hall to testify before Council at a hearing on it. I was told I had a soundbite on the local news radio station, but never heard it. This was maybe 7 or 8 years ago, not too long after Katrina, because I used it in my little speech. Others have been fighting too. There`s a site and organization to change it back. Looking for them is actually how I found this site and met you cool folks.

The thing that kills me most is Philly used to be the most permissive place I knew of. It had always been legal here to have anything except pigs, all the way back to colonial times. And back then it had something to do with keeping the town clean, so people couldn`t have hog lots in the city with smelly piles of feed. There was a big debate about potbelly pigs. I think they finally decided they`re pets and not "farm animals." And one story is this change was sponsored by a councilman who lives almost on the edge of the city and had a beef with his chicken-keeping neighbors.
why cant people live their own life and stay out of yours?

I think that the biggest complainers are that way because their own lives are so miserable that they can't stand to see some one else happy or contient . Every one must now try to run everyone else lives for them. just copping the government I guess. you know idiots follow idiots.

can't you get grandfathered in with your chickens since you had them before the rules changed???    Suppose you should maybe have a friend check up on that so they can't trace the inquiry back to you.  Just to be on the safe side

No grandfather clause, but we think everyone assumes it is so we don`t try to educate them otherwise. The creep who started the bill made sure no grandfathering. At first he wanted a minimum of 3 acres. Who in Philly has that much land?! Then he made it no minimum acreage. We`ve been here for 40+ years. It was woods and a creek behind our place, then the houses came. We were here first! (We are on close to 2 acres.)

metrics drive me nutz . Especially when trying to repair any form of machinery both metric and standard nuts and bolts on the flipping thing. And believe me they don't interchange easily. so I round off the head using the wrong wrench so have to get the angle-grinder out and cut the flipping nut off, and it just goes on and on.
