Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

SPRING MY @SS can't get above 10 degrees here. I know single digits are easier for some people to count but I am so sick of winter. Got a bunch of nice large eggs today full of wrinkles ?????? Can't decide if Lu is preggers or not and Robert can't decide either she seems to be bagging up but not sure I need to install a zipper in her abodomen that way I can peek. Stuck here for another 4 weeks at least with very little time off. Robert's off his foot sentence was extended, If he isn't better by real spring time I am going to amputate his foot for him with a very very dull butter knife. ------------------- Yeah chicks and eggs for everyone. ---------------------------Maybe I should get an incubator. That's all I need is baby chicks and puppies all running around the house with no bladder or bowel control. Plus running the motel 12 to 16 hrs aday 24-7 , repairing things, painting, and spending time on this site. IF lu isn't preggers then Missallett had better get in the family way. I have 4 different people calling wanting puppies. Besides the one I want to keep.

I sincerely things go well with your chick there keepsmum, IF you do decide to put him down I think a heavy duty pair of garden shears/clippers would work the best. I will warn you there is movement after the removal but that is just muscle spazams /twitching no pain for bird.

Wasn't expecting that...but... O.O
Guess it is relevant information in a situation like this.
Only you know keepsmum. I didn't look at page one, if there were pictures I didn't see them. You're actually there, you can tell if he's getting better or not. I think some babies are incredibly resilient if you give them a chance?

Thank you. He seems to be Oddly better and worse than this morning. Reading the posts, people say theirs survive .. does seem an ethical dilemma, see how he is in the morning.
Has highlighted the need for an avian vet.. sad Im asking for stuff thats recommended here only to have them say its restricted or unavailable. Am going to ring our coumtries only vet college and ask them.

@subhanalah, its ok , I kinda was asking, I have no one else and limited resources. I live in a tiny rural town where everything is closed after 5pm and at the weekend by lunch on saturday, of course thats when kiddlets, cars and the menagerie go into decline..
Im giving him his chance, one eye dropper at a time. Sigh. Sweet lil bird, iron will.

keepmumsane, it doesnt look that bad. if anything takes him it will be the shock.head wounds bleed. as far as the swelling , can you get your hands on some prednisone?? tell your vet to give you a dose for that small a bird. if they dont know or treat , its the lest he can do. im sure he knows that it will help. if he wont, treat like you would a human. if you had swelling and a gash, short of running screaming to the er, what would you do for it.antibiotic withOUT pain reliver, keep his body warm and just for a min. ice the wound.

if you feel like he needs to be put down see the post the most humane way to put a chick down. i think you will find there is tons of ways, it is what you are comfortable with. i agree w/ twist a heavy pair of, limb cutters. the short handled ones are the fastest.
