Yeah I kept my humidity in between 50%-60% for the first 13 days and 70-75% on lock down. I still had 2 fully developed chicks not hatch.. not sure why.. not really into going further then cracking the egg and seeing what had developed.Yeah, it might have been the humidity. Seeing those poor little babies only makes me want to try again!![]()
I'm going to contain myself and keep from buying any quail until the swap. It's gonna be a long wait, but I think I can handle it, lol. To keep me from getting anymore eggs, I put some of my own chicken eggs in the bator last night. Only 3, though. Can't wait to see what comes out.
Or you could try ordering Coturnix eggs. Maybe you'd have more luck there?
I've read that about Harlequin's as well. I've also heard the same about the normal Coturnix eggs.Surprisingly harlequin quail are a branch of coturnix, however I did hear full coturnix eggs are easier
