Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Arnie crowed at me this morning! Yahhhhh. Still looks like he escaped a zombie flick!

One if the girls laid a wee membrane egg, her first. Theyve been out under the roses in the sun, makes them all happy

I've been lucky... Only had normal eggs! Although some calcium on 2 of my girls. I have 3 quail hens... Why doesn't the other have calcium deposits? They have the same diet...

Yeah, it might have been the humidity. Seeing those poor little babies only makes me want to try again!

Yeah I kept my humidity in between 50%-60% for the first 13 days and 70-75% on lock down. I still had 2 fully developed chicks not hatch.. not sure why.. not really into going further then cracking the egg and seeing what had developed.
I also had 4 that had started growing but died off.

I'm going to contain myself and keep from buying any quail until the swap. It's gonna be a long wait, but I think I can handle it, lol. To keep me from getting anymore eggs, I put some of my own chicken eggs in the bator last night. Only 3, though. Can't wait to see what comes out.

Or you could try ordering Coturnix eggs. Maybe you'd have more luck there?
