My littlest quail girls are laying, Arnie has lived to fight another day and so far so has Nemesis.
Contemplating a rooster colony in my garden... lol
 
I put a few more eggs in the bator. Nothing fancy, just some from my little backyard mutts. I candled last night, and it doesn't look like anything's happening with the three I put in last week. Bummer.
 
cheyan, there is bound to be something wrong with your bator. thats like 3 in a row? i know your not watching it 24/7 i think it might be dipping when your not looking. i would put it away for a month, clean it good and let some sun hit it for a few hrs. keepmumsane!!!! what is a scrumpet?? i know im not spelling it right . my mum says its what you eat with tea. i got my wire roof up yesterday

it was hard ! but i will now have an extra 10x20 space of run. still need the skirt but thats like butter compared to yesterday. hahah i have cuts all over me. including 2 long ones right across my wrist. hope they heal fast because it looks nasty. blood thinners suck. i made it strong enough to hold a solid roof if i decide i want one. worked till 7pm. from dawn. im just a little sore. i dont like heights but i couldnt stand waiting worse. the hen the dog got is still alive but it is really gross looking. i dont think the antibiotic cream helped the looks any. not really sure what to do now. i dont want to scrub it. i cant pour water on the wound and expect that stuff to come off so she still has been cleaned only once.it would take a bath of warm water to get that off and i sure aint bathing her in the house. its just too gross. 71 outside yesterday, expecting snow today. oh, i heard from starkasm finally . she is still recouping.
 
I'm pretty sure it's a combination of problems, granny. I definitely need a new incubator. Mom was looking at some nice brinseas at Southern States. We'll be getting one of those soon enough. No more styrofoam! Lol.
