By the way, does anyone know how to cure a "seed junky" Cockatiel? They don't want anything but millet spray. That can't be healthy.

There are pellets that are similar shape/size/color as millet. Provide only the pellets, and monitor them to see if they start to lose weight. They should start eating before they lose weight.

I haven't bought them in a while, ap I am not familiar with brands to use. Read the I gredients and look for unwanted preservatives. I can't remember the names of the brands I used to buy.

Ok, thanks. I'll see what I can do. Starting with trying to get them to eat vegetables. It's like trying to get a 3-year-old to drop a lollipop.

Just don't offer the millet at all.just use it as an treat, they'll eat what they're supposed to hahaha

Yeah, when I had cockatiels, I'd only provide millet once a week.

I've never raised little birds like that, but my sister had some finches for a while. Maybe some birds are different from others, because she always had millet in her cage, but the little thing never even touched it.
