Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

I'm trying just one last thing before I give up on him. I pulled his leg back and splinted it straight. I also made him a chick chair so he doesn't fall over. He's still eager to eat and drink, so if he's not showing any signs of improvement in his leg in a few days, I'll do the deed.

hope it gets ok cheyan,

Here's a pic of the little guy. Hard not to fall in love with a face like that. I couldn't get a pic of him in his chair, since he's so angry about it, lol.

i think i did a stryofoam cup cut down to size and taped it to the chair or where ever you have the room. did the water too but i made it a bit taller so if it fell asleep it couldnt drown.

I just used a red solo cup and medical tape. Don't have any foam, and we're out of sponges. It should be okay for a few days, though.

did you try putting the leg where it belongs and splint or tape it all the way down? it wont bend very well but if it can hold it in place?? or straighten it and put a little bend in it before you secure the tape. it is very cute.

In the instructions I saw, the leg was completely straight to allow the tendon to either slip into place on its own, or let the joint get used to being able to move in that position. I made mine just enough so that he couldn't draw his leg back up to his stomach, but also to let him bend it a bit. I also have some tape between his legs like how you fix straddle legs, but instead it's there to keep him from twisting his leg outwards. He also still has his little boot for his curled toes.
