Possible hernia?? Any help would be great.

Picked up my day old chicks yesterday and noticed a possible pasty butt last night. On closer inspection her vent is clean and clear. Is this a possible umbilical hernia?

Was perfectly fine yesterday, charging around, eating and drinking but a little wobbly on her legs today.

As long as you can locate the vent opening under the tail, I think that is the umbilicus or navel, and has a scab that will eventually fall off. Hopefully, the area will dry up and not become a hernia.

Thank you for your help, definitely not the vent as I can clearly see it. Part of it looks dried up but wasn't too sure. Keeping my fingers crossed.
