So, we have a hen, almost a year old with what we think is either impacted or sour crop. We noticed something was off because she was doing that side to side head wobble thing, big crop in the mornings and stayed by herself a little more, still ate, but maybe a little less it’s hard to tell when there are 9. She’s still feisty and mostly acting like herself.

Yesterday we separated her from the rest of the hens and gave her only fresh water (some apple cider vinegar in it). Today we did your upside down thing to clear her crop, we got some out but her crop is still bigger than her same breed sister’s. What came out was clear at first and then got to some stuff that was thicker and a little milkier in color. We’ve withheld food for probably about 36-ish hours now. She is drinking but only pooped maybe once since she’s been on her own.
We have also given her little bit of diluted olive oil in an eye dropper. We just did one other round of upside down-ing her and didn’t get much out.

We are thinking she has to be hungry, do we feed her? Scrambled eggs? Regular egg layer food? Egg layer food mashed with water? 🤷‍♀️

We thank you, and so does she.
