possible mutt?

all of her chickens are theirs and bred from their chickens as they are as self sufficient as they can be.. they let the roos run the propert on the farm and the hens have the coops at night but have plenty time during day for mating..

Then all of the chicks you purchase from her will most likely be mixed breed chicks -- there is always the slim chance that you happen to get a chick hatched from an egg that is laid by a hen who happens to be covered by a rooster of the same breed on the day that egg was fertilized, but in a mixed flock the statistics are strongly against that working out.

pretty much what i figured.. but you do think she might be an orphington mix becausae of her pink legs? she does seem to be a heavy breed she is almost as big as the polish mixed that are over twice her age! she is only about 6-7 weeks

At 6-7 weeks there is still plenty of time for her to be socialized and calm down. If nothing else, the onset of production *generally* comes with an overall calming of a pullet's personality.

i havent had much one on one with her either, i bought her she went in brooder in my spare bathroom where she got attention from me and my 2 yr old about 30 mins 2x a day. and then moved to her integration coop which was difficult to access and pretty much was only paid attention to at feedings and water changes then she was integrated with her buddy and my other 2 pullets into the main coop then i had a pullet fall sick so she was taken to the brooder and the 3 were "quarantined" for 7 days no free ranging or attention as i needed to treat all birds. now all is well and i have the chance to spend the time with her and the other girls! so lots of treats are in her future!! lol
