Hi All,

Two of my light sussex bantamns have got I suspect a respiratory infection. Both were breathing heavy last night, one with a watery/ foamy eye, let them out this morning they seem find no heavy breathing back to what I would say normal. Then tonight they were back the same as last night.

Does anyone know if this respiratory infection, is so what type?

I have done research and is mentioning some types are treated with Tylan antibiotics. So might need to speak to a vet.

Any advice will be much appreciated

Kind Regards

Foamy eye sounds like MG, a chronic respiratory disease. Tylan or tylosin can treat symptoms, but it is no longer available in feed stores. You may get it here online to put in the water:
https://www.jedds.com/shop/tylan-soluble-100-g/
Dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 3-5 days. Add water to powder only, and change water every 3 days.
