I didn't want a rooster as I don't have the current ability to have any additional chicks

If other conditions allow for you to have a cockerel/rooster, just collect the eggs.

Does the barred chick have feathered legs? If so, I’d agree that definitely a male midnight Marans. If no feathers on the legs, I'm leaning more toward the accidental barred rock or some sort of oops at the feed store, thinking it’s not a Marans at all. If it’s a BR I won’t make a gender guess because I don’t have any personally and in pics they all look make to me, lol!

What do you mean? Eggs won't hatch a chick in one minute. They need to be fertilized, laid, and then incubated for twenty-one days. As long as you collect the eggs and break your broodies, you will have no unwanted chicks.
