OK so these are two roosters I got from an elderly friend of ours who did not want to keep these guys in her small flock. What are they? And is there anything I can do for their combs. They got along so well together and then we bought 4 hens. Me in my inexperienced ignorance figured they would split the girlies. 2 each is a nice mini harem. Yea they disagreed BIG TIME. Alot of doctoring later they are ok but their combs are a mess. Feel so bad. Paid a fortune to get them girlfriends their age and now they are not friends anymore.

Ok I got this one from the farm store. I was told they absolutely do not sell silkies but this was the only one like this in the pen. A guy there who said he raises them said it was. Regardless I wanted the little thing. Just stole my heart. So pretty. They had it with all these tiny bantems chicks and he is a good bit bigger than them. Apparently he was an oddball they got. She sold it to me as a fryer special for 1.29 since they absolutely do not sell silkies. What do you think he is?

The First Rooster is a Partridge Rock and the Second one looks to be a Barred Rock..

Pretty sure its not a barred rock. I have massive experience with barred rock males. None with females. I have amazing pick roosters every time abilities with those. lol I know there is another black and white but I can't seem to find the breed. Find pics that are not labeled which is annoying me. The tall colorful one I love. The lady I got it from got 6 of these as gifts. They were oddballs included in the hatcheries shipment so the guy gave them to her. 2 males and 4 females. The females are all black with barely noticeable coloring on the wings and tail, curly feathers and feathered feet. Beautiful. I could not talk her out of a hen since they lay well but she gave me a rooster.

He is kinda my favorite. The black and white is horribly aggressive and beats up on him. I may have to find him a girlfriend to install in his bachelor quarters.

This is a closer up shot. You can really see the marks on his comb from the fight. Is there something more I can do for these.

By the way with the larger dark chicken it also has feathered feet. Does that narrow the breed choices down? He really is my favorite. Such a sweetheart.
