DH and I opened a feed store not too long ago, and a customer came in a few days ago wanting to "get rid of these big, ugly chickens." For the heck of it, DH and I had looked up the tallest chicken breed a few weeks back, and with one look I knew these chicks were that kind! The customer had no idea what they were, she said she bought them 4 months ago as chicks "from a guy on the side of the road." But she just thought they were ugly and wanted to get rid of them, so we worked out a trade. What I'm wondering is, if these are Oriental gamefowl (or Thai gamefowl, my research didn't really clear things up for me :/ ), what kind are they and how much are they worth? Is there any way to figure out male vs female? I don't plan on selling them because they're the coolest freakin chickens in my flock, but it would be cool to know :)

All are males. Mixed breed due to presence of single comb.

Think of oriental as a "class" of chickens. All of them have origins in cock fighting. Thai is an oriental type/breed of chicken.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I could use all the info I can get lol, I'm completely clueless on these guys! Except I know they eat the same stuff as any other chicken lol

Oh, does that mean they'll be aggressive???

I've had few over the years it seems to vary. None were aggressive to humans and the aggression between roosters were variable. Once a fight started it was impossible to stop them though, they would still be trying even if nearly in shock or out of breath and lying flat on ground, they would still be staring at each other and making feeble attempts to bite.

With them being a mix, it's impossible to tell. If they haven't fought each other yet or very soon they probably would be on the mellow side of spectrum.

I do like the coloring on that one with bright gold neck.
