Possible to have 4 breeds and 4 barren birds?

Having seen the photos, I don't think they were quite 10-12 weeks at the time you got them. I would say more along the lines of 8 weeks - which I know doesn't sound like a big difference but it would +/- their age now by 2-4 weeks and when it comes to getting to the point of lay 2-4 weeks can be a big difference. The "now" photos show a golden laced Wyandotte who looks to be at/near the point of lay - so I do think your wait is nearing it's end.

What is the protein percentage of your organic feed (this can be found on the packaging of your feed or you can provide the brand name and we can help you find the information online if you aren't sure)? Are you giving them any "treats" - if so, what and how much? Are you giving them scratch grains?

Seeing photos of your chicks when you got them on May 1, it appears to me they could have been as young as six weeks. That would put them at 20 weeks now, not really late at all to be approaching point of lay. In fact, I would be looking for first eggs from all but the Cochin real soon. Cochins take their sweet time about everything, so she might not start laying for another four weeks.

Another thing that may be putting off point of lay is the shortening days. But I think the issue here as to why they aren't laying yet is that you were misled on their true ages, and they simply haven't reached point of lay yet.

So, I would be patient and confident. Your pullets look perfectly healthy and should be blessing you with first eggs shortly.

Thanks all, that's good news. It sounds like they were younger than advertised.. oh well, we love them and can wait.

I was just worried I was doing something wrong or something unhealthy

Thanks again!
