Possum Attacked my D'Uccle (wound pictures)

Sounds like you are doing a great job! Have you tried putting some scrambled eggs or soft/mushy chicken feed in front of her? She may be able to eat a little on her own. I would keep feeding a bit extra protein while she is healing
I will try some soft feed today. Maybe I'll just make a little mox of some scrambled eggs and crumbled soft feed even. Thanks!

Oh, good! Yes, I agree if she slows down the baby bird gaping beak, she is filling up. You can always measure how much she gets to keep track. If you really want to know, you can weigh her each day, but I suspect she is going to recover. :)
I didn't even think of weighing her! I have a great little kitchen scale I can use. Thanks!

Lucky is doing well. She still will only eat by syringe. I have crumble out during the day when I'm at work but I don't know if she is eating it. Her weight was holding yesterday and today. She enjoys her nightly bath and blow dry lol. Her one eye is looking considerably less swollen and is open sometimes. Her other wounds have good scabs. I'm still putting triple antibiotic cream on twice daily. It looks like she might have scratches on the roof of her mouth, which may account for why she only wants to eat by syringe. Will she eat on her own again?? Am I doing something wrong by only syringe feeding? I try dipping her beak in food and water, and leave it out when she is in her box.

She may have trouble eating crumbles at this time. I would continue to syringe feed and offer a bit of soaked crumbles. Monitor and hopefully she’ll continue to improve and once she feels better start eating on her own.

Lucky is back outside! I had left some water softened feed out today and when I was on my way work, I was thinking how chickens are social and don't do well alone. She hadn't been eating as much last night and this morning and was quite docile so I though she might be lonely. I left work early to get home before dark because I wanted to wake her out and see what she would do. She ate all of the feed while I was at work and when I took her out, she was clucking around and grabbing food and water and snuggling with her siblings! I made sure she was tucked in with them before locking up for the night. Both of her eyes look great, the one is quite wide open now and barely and swelling or watering. I think she is going to be ok and live up to her new name!
