Last night I didn't close the coop in time and a possum attacked my baby girl. She happened to be best friends and partners in crime with our other chicken. They came from the same women and my three Orpingtons came from the same place. When will my other baby stop calling for her and realize she's passed? I've never had a chicken die when they are matured enough to realize. Please help. I am very sad as it is and hearing her call for Ellie makes me cry even more.

Brock (who turned out to be a female) is doing great today! So is the whole family. Most people would never expect for you to get attached to a chicken. You really do, though. They are such great pets. They also bring you yummy eggs.
