Hi, so last night i saw a possum eating chicken feed and this morning i found out 5 eggs been eaten. Totally cleaned the shell and threw out of the box. This is the first time i saw one. I have 4chickens and 2 roosters. the coop area is surrounded with chicken wire and they stay inside at night. But after reading some thread here, I'm afraid if the possum attack my flock what should i do to keep that possum away or my flock safe? Pls help with any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance for your support.

Half inch hardware cloth covering all openings... and a skirt to stop them from digging under. And a closed, secure door.

Put your chicken feed up at night, and collect your eggs daily.

You are right to be concerned! :hmm

Glad it was JUST eggs this time though. :)

ETA: you could also trap the predator and dispatch it.
Thank you for your reply. I'll cover up all the opening. I'm also glad it was eggs only this time.
