I was just bringing the trailer up to the field to park it and I saw that a possum had unlocked the door to the coop. Right now I have a gate latch with some wire wrapped around it so they have to un ravel it. This is the second time it has happened, and I am glad I didn't lose any birds. I have a cinderblock proped against the door, but he knocked it over. My chickens are safe for now because I ran over him with the four wheeler. The other possum got away because the trailer came off the ball when I hit the first one. Does anybody know of a good latch that I can use?
