ok so you're gettin 13 next week right? I have a 50lb chick starter bag and I think it can feed 30 chicks for 3 weeks but it depends for how many weeks are they staying inside in the brooder because some people take them out when they're 6 weeks old so if you're going to take them out at 3 weeks just buy one bag if you're taking them at 6 weeks buy 2. after the 3rd week I start to give them bread, cracked corn, greens, left overs, and let them free range for a bout 2-3 hours

well my brother (skit that is jhonnyakaskittles) left to dallas just when he left the bator running. I had to turn the eggs, take out bad ones, etc... And it was pretty hard for me! but on spring I will incubate some

Yes Im just done looking at them I did a google search and they are pretty big! I like how the hens look like! I just put them in "My breed list" Pretty birds!

Well...I guess I have to update my amount of year olds....a dog just got into the yard and attacked my RIR...

she has no skin on one of her legs and I'm not sure she's going to make it....I went and talked to the owner and she said"my son was supposed to lock him up...I'll buy you another one." grr

RIR are pretty good egg layers. You know bad things can happen at any year at any month at any week at any day at any hour at any minute and at any second. Im glad he just got one and not more, it feels very bad when something like this happens I hate this stuff too
