Post Office Called My Eggs Are Here

So I am about to go to the post office to pick up my first of 3 shippments of eggs. The other 2 are set to arrive tomorrow. What do I do with the eggs when I get them home? I am planning on putting them all in the bator Fri pm or Sat am.

But when I bring them home do I do anything special or just open them up and sit them next to the bator until they go in?

As far as I've heard, put them on the counter to set.
