I am thinking she is Ameraucana... but I am not sure what a Cherry Egger chick looks like. I know she is not Buff Orpington, because they were yellow. Whichever she is, she is fluffy and darling.

I'm sure she will end up being a favorite bird. I'm glad she's alright (at least)

David for a rooster... Like David in the lion's den.

and

Anani for a hen... It means protected by God.

Sorry that happened to you. I personally agree its the PO fault for not calling. I for one would like to find out what happens after your husband takes the box to the PO to show them. I think they should replace them and be much more careful next time. I think they would considering there are so many dead ones. I hope the mail person see's them and feels horrible and has bad nightmares of giant chicks chasing them down the road and they cant run or move. I wish that for them every night for a month.

What a horrible thing to see when you first walk out the door in the morning!! I am so so sorry for your loss.

I am glad you made some calls of complaints and that your DH talked to the post master at your post office. Leaving live chicks next to 3 LARGE predators and then just walking away (without a call, knock, honk or doorbell) is completely incompentant, cruel, and evil. Please keep us updated as to what comes of this.
