33 hours????? I hope they get your money back if they guarantee it....(yeah right!) I am certain they probably be in MO in the morning. Something tells me they are not flying these birds, they are trucking them all the way there. Not usual either.
At any rate, the PO must deal with what Fed EX had done to point A to point B and if point B needs to go to point C, then the PO must take the birds from point B to C.
For example, my Hamburgs came out of OR, airflight to St Louis, then the PO truck ship from St Louis to Springfield, IL PO then transfer truck from Springfield, IL to Decatur, IL......all toook less than 24 hours. Its easier for PO to get to point A to point B on major hubs and truck the rest of the way.
I am still waiting on a pair of Silkie girls out of OH and she is waiting transfer to be OK'ed by the PO to ship those birds to me.
Its not all that usual to get birds anywhere from 24 hours to 53 hours but no longer than four days...its extreme but my original hamburgs made it in five days.
Rule of thumb, if to ship birds out, always give more fruits than you really think it would be, like one apple would sufffice the trip, put in two to three apples. I'd rather pay more weight for the fruits so they can be alive.
If your birds have not shown up ,something tells me that someone took them or stole them. Not that usual for employees to phisfer things out and declare them LOST.
