Post on GJF should add to your post count.

I am not trying to make the mods angry. So please if you're a mod and reading this just hear me out. I'm not trying to start a rebellion or anything. But me and a few other BYCers really think that post in GJF (Games jokes and fun) Should add to your post count.

We don't always have questions or answers about chickens or other poultry. But spend our time on this wonderful site talking to other people that share our common interest in chickens. We could be on this site for years and have very few post on our post count while in reality we have a great deal. We also use it as a way to keep up with how much we have posted and ETC.

Its almost like saying that we who primarily use GJF don't deserve to have a post count. I think to me and many other BYCers this is very important. So id like to ask you to reconsider this. Thank you.

My thoughts on this...

I agree with both you guys, and the mods. I understand where you are coming from. Someone could post on here all day, all the time, and have 0 posts, when they are actually a very experienced member. Posts can also show your commitment to BYC, and if you're posting a lot on GJF section and don't get any posts, no one can see your commitment!
However, I completely understand why the mods and administrators on BYC would do this. I think many members come on here for social purposes only, not chickens. They collect tons of posts and seem like a very active member in the BackYard Chickens community, when they aren't into chickens at all, which is the ultimate purpose.

Ultimately, I have no opinion on whether this rule should continued or discontinued (which is why I didn't vote).
To all you mods, I just wanted to thank you, and I know you are doing the best job you can to moderate this site

I agree. But As I said I could be an active member for a year and have 20 post. I think the pros far out weigh the cons.

I have no earthly idea how I have 10,190 posts, if posting on GJ&F doesn't add to your post count... I primarily am on GJ&F.

I see that people are voting that they shouldn't. Which is perfectly understandable. But may I please have your thoughts? Id like to hear them.
