Will phoenix hens go broody?

@nikki1496 yes they do and its very hard to get them out of it too. I have 1 broody and 1 semi-broody lol

I have two hens that just turned a year old in feb and i wanna hatch some more. phoenixs but ive never seen tgem go broody is there a way to "make" then broody

Mine just turned a year and are going broody. I just didn't collect eggs for a couple days and next thing I know there is a broody.

My hens havent been laying for some reason woulf they go broody if they arent laying?

I'm not sure about that one. But try giving them about 1/4 of cabbage per every 2-3 birds. I was told to do that to make them lay, I didn't believe it but thought to try it anyways since it wouldn't hurt. Next day I got an egg. So give that a shot and let them gather a few eggs to see if they will go broody. Remember to provide them with water all the time and give calcium(oyster shell) and 16% protein feed. That will kick up the egg production.

Oh also, my hens dont like to lay in a nest that is open front. They like the ones that have all 4 sides and are taller than them so they have to climb it to get in. So basically like a cardboard box opened from the top only and nothing else.

I dont have any cabbage atm but they do get lettiuce all tge time. i put 3 eggs in a nest box so hopefully itll help
