silver laced phoenix project. 4 months old and tails coming in nice, couldn't get them to turn to show tails but you can see the lacing going well

Lovely!

Currently, the brr bantam rooster is in a pen with 3 hens, 2 intermediate crele phoenix bantams, and a standard oriental game. I can easily tell the oriental game eggs easily, and she's just there for company as she was a lone hen. I use to have many bbr, barred, and black phoenix bantams both sexes, but I culled the other roosters as they were too aggressive or bad feathering. As for the hens, I had to get rid of most of them to make space, as I have many more of their children I haven't taken pictures yet. They are about 1 to 2 months old at the moment.

I do have mutts / cross-breeds of Phoenix to other breeds, but i plan on culling them as they were produced by breeds i use to work on, but none really turned out special to me. Right now I'm working on crele color phoenix bantams. After that, maybe a violaceous colored phoenix.

I'm having an aweful time breeding my Phoenix, the hens are laying but I don't get any fertile eggs ever. In the last 3 years I've only had 1 fertile egg hatch out of the hundreds I've set, how do you get them to breed, the cocks seem to be treading the hens just they don't seem to fertilise anything, any ideas on how to overcome this??

I'm sorry you are having issues. My cocks have always done a great job. When I would let my broody girls hatch, I had 100 hatch most of the time. I am not sure what to advise. Maybe post on one of the other threads and just ask general breeding questions. Maybe they might have some suggestions. Good luck.

Trimming butt fluff? Though it may be your boys is infertile, can you try getting a new cock bird if only for test mating your hens.

I have recently bought sin a new cock and he there has been no change in fertility rates

It's most confusing, although one of the makes doesn't seem to know how to tread hens, he will dance around them and then when they squat he just stops and walks off
