Toni Marie is a master at the fibro melanistic gene, if she sees it, I bet it's in there.
I didnt know til she showed me how to tell one that has one copy of fibro from a non fibro bird , one with 2 copies is obvious, dark comb and wattles.
She also showed me another trick, look at the skin under the tail, if it's dark and not normal white/fleshy colored, that's a positive on the fibro gene being in it.
If it's there, then definitely has silkie ancestry in it. If not, then a spitz of polish would be a good guess.
Or could be a Heinz 57 like Onag said.
