THank you everyone
for giving it your best shot. Pharow has 4 toes and a white bum. From the other "ferel" chickens where he came from there are some hens with "toppies" that have gamey/polish/OEG type colors. They are all on the smallish side for LF.
Whatever he is I just think he is so pretty and he is very gentlemanly so he will stay with me forever. The long saddle feathers just make him look more handsome.

P.S. He was chipmonk colored when he was a baby...would that mean anything??

na, all duckwing based colors are "chipmunk" looking as chicks, he looks to be bb red (cant see his breast well), so that was the perfect color for him as a baby

Might be a silly question but what's the purpose of the leash things around both their legs? I saw it in two photos browsing the last two pages. Are the birds tied up at times or legs tied together?

dont do any of mine that way, but often yes, in large rooster pens males will be tied to a certain area to keep them seperate from each other. Also may be a tomebaku thing if she keeps her non molters that way. But no not tied together, just teathered to one area is the goal there

I tether my birds because they are kept together on tomebaku. I don't tether the breeders. My roosters stay on a large 8ft stand side by side. Works really well for me. I unclip them to put them in the exercise pen. Or I put snaps on them so that I don't have to untie each one and I don't want them in a traditional box where they have a tiny window to look out. I like to walk by and talk to them and pet them and feed them treats. They are parrots! lol.. Some are even talking parrots!

yep was just about to say, he's defiantely not crele, that would be a barring pattern across the feathers. He's just got a mix mottling of colors.
Good to know that's ginger splits though, I have a couple young cockerels coming up looking very similar to that, was wondering what they had in them, now I know
