I might take you up and pm you sometime. I honestly don't know which he is, if I had to guess I would say bantam but I'm not positive. I wish I knew whose line he is from. I am thinking about hatching out a few eggs next spring, what do yours run? Lincoln is just a hatchery bird but I would like to get some better ones. Thanks for the advice by the way, it's a hobby but I might get seriously into breeding eventually and if I do I will definitely work on tails.

Hey Toni, I heard you can use a brown red in ginger maitings to clean them up. Is this true and shouldn't a ginger have black on the back of the hen? Wanting your thoughts!

Nice silver hen I got from Earline Dacus. Note the long saddles and long tail feathers. Her line also carries the flitter gene which are very beautiful. The hens have saddles like roosters, though not as pronounced as roosters. I will see if I can get a pic soon!

I've always wanted to get a hen with saddles and sickles. Very nice. New question: Has anyone on here read Rare Poultry Breeds by David Scrivner? They reviewed it in the last SPPA newsletter and said it had longtail info. Specifically Yokos and Ongadori. Has anyone read it? Is it worth getting? Thanks.
