you should take a good profile pic for us so we can see..love that color.

john, thought you would like to see a couple of dragon ladys beautiful buffs.

I need a Buff Orpington cockerel. If one of the chicks turns out to be a boy then i might hatch one out next year :)

This is my day old orp. The eggs that were sold to me were described as silver orpingtons. She's definitely not like the lavender chicks I've seen. Any ideas on her coloring? She has lots of black with a good bit of silver here and there. Her legs are flesh colored with some dark edging.

It would be interesting to keep pics and notes on that color so when or if you see it again, you will know what to expect.. Ive never heard of a silver orpington, ..only white orpington..and they can be hatched with a dark ticking like that , usually not that dark.. but the ones with the grey ticking sometimes wind up with the silver quill ....wonder if that was why they called it a silver orp?

Thank you lualshannon, I should say thank you Vickie..they are her project..I just love them..they dont care much about pictures being taken, they just want me to open that gate and let them out to the orchard....
just about finished with the buff hut..just the rest of the shingles on the left side and Im done..they have roosts on each side inside..just for something to do, I reproduced an old postcard excatly like it was on a cabinet panel that was scrap just to recycle it..and becuase everybody, even non chicken people want to see them and some peopel ask what kind of a chicken is that..now they know..

I dont know what it is, but every time the girls are laying eggs, they try to hide under the rooster..he politly stands for this..I dont know why they do this..as soon as the gg is laid..off they go..

What a swank house for the Buffs ! Granny approves. Love the Buff Orp sign too. That will cut out a few questions.
