HaHa great pic's! Love them.I recently got some new chicks they are about 3 weeks old. The breeds are 1 blue orpington, 1 sicilian buttercup, and 2 white leghorns. Here they are as 2 week olds. They are let outside about everyday, here they are with Mellow my silkie ( who I think is a roo).
Spice the SB enjoying a dust bath with her four sisters.
Charcoal the blue orpington being stared at by Mellow.
Lime (in the front) and Lemon (in the back).

Those buff pullets are really coming on! Not the K. Get those girls a really nice K.The black K. has possibilities.Just my opinion, for what it's worth. Here's this years chicks that were hatched mid-March- June. Its not all of them but a good representation. I will have a hard time picking and choosing on the Buffs but mine not so much.
Her color is off but I like the structure on this dark pullet. One of the youngest, undecided on her.
Little buff below was the runt but she is catching up.
Nice lacing but not impressed with type.
The only black cockerel I kept. But he may go too.
The blue one I am liking again. She has a nice head. imo

Angie, looking nice. It's hard to tell alot now , they go threw stages where they look good and then they don't. By Nov. you will be able to pick out the ones you want to show. They will just pop out and you will know. Great job

Beautiful!Thank you both. The older ones have gone through several "gangly" stages already. I didn't get pics of all the buff cockerels but I think out of the 4 there's going to be at least one good one. Now my bbs is another story. I kept the one older black cockerel (he is a few weeks younger than the buffs) and I have one more little dark blue cockerel coming up but he is very young. I will see if I can find pics of him. ETA: here are the 2 youngest. They are approx 7-9 weeks old. They are too young for me to tell much yet. The pullet is going to be a medium blue and the cockerel will be dark blue both have nice dark eyes but that's about all I can tell for now. That is if I am right in my sexing of them.![]()
