Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

lildinkem,
Nice start, I remember how hard it was to buy quality blacks a few years ago. Wish I knew how to post pictures but it really don't matter to me. Good luck with this years hatch.

I wish I could get some better pictures, but I will have to keep trying! I am gonna try to get some good ones tomorrow. Until then, I have these .... I really do love these Orps. They look much better than my pictures portray.

lildinkem and kathy, those are looking nice. Kathy, I see some great lacing on those blues.

urbanfarmboi - the chicks pictured are from mille fleur parents (some were complete pattern and some incomplete). The diamond jubilees are taking a bit longer to get the pattern, but I am hopeful with this upcoming hatch, plus they're size is much closer to orps. Since we are also working on size along with color, it's a long process. I just rebred my mottled birds back to black orps to build them up and will use them to help with the size on the jubilee next year, if I'm not satisfied with this year's results.

Kathy looks like some really good blue and black Orps there. I see two different pictures with blue cockerels i really really like. Can't wait to see how they turn out. It takes those cockerels a good 8 months to fill out good.

It is a true pleasure to see such quality. Jody you guys and everyone else here are kicking butt in improving our favorite breed. It seems to be a mushrooming effect. A few great breeders help others get a start and tell them how to breed. And now we have at least a dozen super Orpington breeders here. BYC has added a tremendous boost for the breed. Whether it is an English or UK or APAversions. We're dominant here!
