Joy she is very stocky and so is the other splash. I will try and get some more pics tommorrow. I am still debating on the other one. I think a late blooming cockerel.
Aveca definitely needs a big black wide boy for her hen. Maybe between the two of us we can come up with one. I am growing some out to see how they turn out and I have one promised to someone so if I have an extra I can share. If you have an extra one Joy maybe you can share.
Buff Beauty can you get a pic of your Buff hen you were showing standing up. I would love to see how she looks on her feet?

Sandy that is a great big ole splash girl you have there. She is looking good.

I got a bunch of black orpingtons from Sand Hill instead of blues or any splashes. They'd send me a batch with blues or splashes, but I don't need a shipment's worth. I could use a splash rooster though, and hatch my own next year. Does anybody have a splash roo they want to rehome or sell to CA?

Of course Katy.

Got 2 lines of jubilees set. One group due this weekend and the other group due next weekend. I have to hatch them separate so I can keep tabs on their progress. The one's in the brooder were a test run under broodies to see if I get consistent results. They look pretty good. Those are the darker jubilee. The diamonds are coming soon. Hoping to get more consistent results on them this round as well.

I got a big black roo here named Lil Elvis.. however he is not little from what Ive been told by some of the older out of the loop big east coast breeders.....he will be looking for a new home soon..

Are the Jubilee project birds going to eventually be Mille Fleur patterned? Or something similar? I'd love to know more about them.

Hi, It was a poultry lice, mite powder ..I dont really like these things and only use them once in a while as precaution mainly and just as precaution and weeks befor a show , protects them and others who are showing and our flock who is parasite free at this time... plus they will eliminate your bird if any signs of parasites or illness..

This bird had a long journey and only settled in to be brought to my house, she was little stressed from it all...My husband said OMG why is she drooling, I said shes just stressed, Chickens will sometimes empty thier crop when they get stressed out, its like us when we get stressed out and a bit sick to our stomach..she quit that today..Vet told me that several years ago..and told me when she looked at her that she needed a little R and R.

So not shooting for any shows for this year. Thou I would LOVE to show her at the APA show in september..but her health and well being come first for us.
We'll shoot for next year and she will be penned next to chickens she is used to.
