Do chickens suddenly get tamer when they start to lay

Her is my best answer...............each chicken, at least at my house, has their own personality so there
is not really a time limit.........Generally my younger ones learn from watching the older ones...........
I have some that seem happy to see me, some that check me out for treats then go about their business and some that are just stand offish.
I have a few older hens that just follow me everywhere and we have great conversations..................

I do + jazzabelle + Elizabeth + zebra
 
with shows starting everywhere I am curious to see who is going or has been. What did you show if you did or if not were there many orps there. Big fair here next weekend. I have never been to a poultry show but I am going to check out the one at the fair here just to see what people have.
