Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

She never had all those white marked feathers before.Did you change feeds ? Those gold feathers with the white markings across them look like stress barring.
I know she didn't. I don't know what they are off. Could it have been the stress of her falling in the pecking order when she went broody? She got a lot of crap after that.

Changed their feed from what to what ? Had she finished growing ALL her feathers when you changed it ? If she had , then it was the stress of being dominated after she was broody.
I'm not sure. It looked like she went through a few small moults. It probably was the dominated thing. Her last time being broody was hard for her. Not only did she fail, but through the time she got beat by one of the nastiest hens in the flock and always had a cut comb off Daisy wanting to take her baby in that nest box. And their feed got changed from growers pellets to layers pellets mixed with mixed corn.

The peanuts are winning Bella over! She has hated me ever since August when I was trying to treat her for something. But now she is lining up for treats and taking them off me! And she has never done that in her life! Too bad I'm going to break that trust by taking her to the vets next month :(

I wanted to take the girls to the feed shed but the weather is horrible up here so they refused to come out. I started pushing them out the pop hole one by one and Daisy decided just to sit down and refuse to move!!

I decided to grow some nasturtiums this year not even really knowing what they were, they were brilliant they just grew so quickly and I had this abundance of orange and yellow flowers that were edible to humans and chickens! They looked great and I couldn't help but see the opportunity to take some photos of my buff Orpington's amongst them.
