Finally gotten my first flock of Orpingtons!! They were born on the 23 and I cant believe how big they are!! I gotta go to the store to get me a bigger brooder for these little guys but im glad they are finally here. I have one blue for sure and another possible blue and the rest are blackies!! The breeder i got them from said the Sire was 14 lbs!!

Aww I have wanted blacks forever now and I'm ordering some eggs and may go and get 2trios

They are a really laid back kind of chicken aren't they? I've always had EE"s so having a actual chicken breed has me all excited. They are such little pigs at that as well! Post pics of your new little ones when u get the chance! I'm guess black is favorite color?

Hi there I bought these birds as large fowl English orpingtons but their tail and comb just don't look right at all, and they seem very small? They are young birds and not in lay yet but I can't imagine them feathering out to the full shape of my adult orps??

She is a beautiful bird.


This is my English Blue at 2 1/2 months. I think she is a little darker than yours, but I don't think her lacing is as nice.

"Diva" our Lavender Orpington at 2 1/2 Months. He is quickly catching up in size to "Bell", one of our hatchery Buffs at 10 Months old.

The lacing is about the same but wow! Beautiful dark blue!
