The "varieties" of orps are dependent on their coloration not on where they are from. The only purpose that I see of naming orps "English Orps" is as a sales name.
I have blue, black, and splash orpingtons that I imported from the UK. I do call mine English orps. I call mine "English" in order to differentiate the type from the orpington that we typically have here in America, not as a "sales name". As you can see from this picture, the difference between the "English" orp and "American" orp is quite staggering.
