Yep. Definitely a warm weather bird. I clarified with Keith and the naked gene is like an albino gene and Just pops up occasionally. He just continued to breed it when it did.

I know its weird. Their legs don't even have scales. Just smooth skin.

bet for butchering purpose they are fantastic to clean.. no feathers to pluck.. not sure on there size for this purpose though,, how big do they get just wondering..?

Maybe 4 lbs full grown. The ones in the pic are about 4 lbs. they are basically a naked neck without feathers but some smaller probably do to using so much energy for keeping themselves warm.

I got my first Orpingtons today at the Oregon Poultry Swap, I got two little chicks a splash and a blue. They are huge next to my d'Uccles.It's so cute, they have big fluffy butts already!

I can't wait for them to turn into big fluffy chickens!!!!
