Those birds have a long way to go before they even remotely resemble anything that you could call an Orpington.
You've got a long project ahead of you.

He guys! I have some huge Buff Orps that I got from Hinck JC.....I LOVE these birds!
I need to order some leg bands, but was wondering what size you guys use on your birds.
When I had hatchery birds, I went by the guide on the website and ordered a size 12....but that looks pretty small for these great big Orps :
Thanks for your help!
I have 16s expandable ring bands on my English boys.
Heck with the leg bands that kitten in your avatar looks awesome!!
I toe punch and do not use leg bands.
Hey, thanks you guys! I knew the 12s seemed small! Toe punching - I'm soooo squimish - no can do! Ugh!
Thanks for the compliment on our new kitten (she is one of two - we got her brother, too). Her name is Penny (registered name: A Small Fortune) and we just love her! She helped supervise the incubator for my last batch.
Question about toe punching. I toe punched my chicks(first time doing this) when they were about a day old. No big deal, like piercing an ear, but the holes closed in! Should I wait until they are older, but then I won't remember who's who.
